July Marks 41 Years of Business for Pottery World!

By July 8, 2015Uncategorized

In 1974 Jim Rodda and Greg Modesti set up a shop at Denio’s Auction in Roseville, California and began selling pots for $3, $6, and $10. That first weekend they sold $1,000 worth of pots, and Jim has been selling them ever since. Jim bought out his partner’s interest in 1976, and business has continued to grow.

From his humble beginnings at Denio’s to the two beautiful stores he now owns and still runs, Jim has been the driving force behind Pottery World’s success. If you’ve shopped at our store you know that Jim will personally greet you as you shop, show you what is new and make sure your needs are met.  This work ethic and customer-first attitude has passed down to his children, two of whom work full time for Pottery World and continue to make the stores a unique and beautiful place to shop. In a time when large corporations have driven out small businesses, Pottery World has been able to stay a family-owned and operated business and we owe a great deal of this success to the loyal customers who have been supporting our stores throughout the years. Thank you!

On Saturday July 11, Pottery World in Rocklin will host a special Anniversary Event including the traditional store blessing, special savings opportunities  and much more. For our customers in the El Dorado Hills and Folsom area, our store in the Montano de El Dorado shopping center will have its own event and blessing on Sunday, July 12.

Check our Facebook page and website for more information about this and other upcoming events.
