When it comes to sealing your table tops, there are a variety of products we recommend based on the type of material you are sealing. Below is a guideline of recommended sealing product and application methods for a variety of table tops.
When re-doing your outdoor table tops, it is necessary to first strip off any old sealant. If your table top is travertine, marble, stone or copper, we recommend using Dad’s Easy Spray (available at Meeks Lumber), and applying it with a spray bottle. Make sure to follow the manufacturer recommended instructions.
For sealing your table tops, here are our recommendations based on table top material:
Travertine, Marble & Stone
We recommend using Miracle Sealer & Color Enhancer (found at Lowes and Home Depot) and applying it with a spray bottle.
Slate, Tile & Cement
We recommend using Glase & Seal Wet Look and applying it with the fine nap red feather Roller-Wooster, 4-1/4″ x 1/4″.
We recommend Deff Varnish Semi-Gloss, available at most hardware stores, and applying it with the fine nap red feather Roller-Wooster, 4-1/4″ x 1/4″.
We recommend following the manufacturers instructions.
As with any project, always read and follow the instructions for each product.
