Q. Doesn’t Pottery World just carry pots?
A. No! While Pottery World does offer the largest selection for outdoor pots in Northern California, we also have so much more! Our outside showroom is full of fountains, statuary, yard decor, patio furniture, benches, lattices, patio furniture, firepits and more. Inside our stores we have interior furniture, lighting, prints, mirrors, decorative accessories, pillows, gift items, fauxtanicals, florals, trees, custom floral design, seasonal decor, women’s clothing, jewelry, handbags, hats, baby clothing, baby gifts, soaps, lotions, and more.
Q. Isn’t everything at Pottery World really expensive and made to go in a huge home?
A. No! While Pottery World has been a source of large scale furniture for the gorgeous homes Rocklin, Granite Bay, Lincoln, Folsom, El Dorado Hills and Tahoe for many years, we also carry a broad range of furniture and accessories that are affordable and scaled for smaller homes. We will always feature the oversized statement pieces that our customers have come to expect, but we are excited to bring in new collections of smaller scale items for those who are downsizing, or live in older homes in East Sacramento or a townhome in Midtown. Our style ranges from Tuscan to Old World to Farmhouse to Transitional to Contemporary. We can order pieces as well, and many of our furniture items can be customized.
Q. If I buy a fountain or huge pot or sectional, how do I get it home?
A. We’ve got you covered! Our helpful staff can either load your own vehicle with the item, or delivery can be arranged for a nominal fee. When you buy a fountain and schedule delivery with us, our team will install and level the fountains upon delivery. We won’t leave until the homeowner is satisfied. If you are taking the item yourself, we will carefully wrap the item and transport it to your vehicle. To inquire about a delivery for fountains, pots, or patio furniture, call (916) 624-8080 ex. 29. Q. Is there a place to get food?
A. Yes! At our Rocklin store we have the Pottery World Cafe, a full-service cafe in a delightful setting with both indoor and outdoor seating that offers breakfast and lunch daily. Breakfast is served from 8 am to 11:30 am and lunch is served from 11;30 am to 3:3o pm. Our menu features fresh, seasonal items that have become local favorites with a housemade soup and special served daily. Our dessert case is full of delicacies and the cafe serves wine and beer, along with specialty coffee drinks. The Pottery World Cafe hosts High Tea on the second and third Thursday of every month and can also host large parties and gatherings. For a menu and more information please visit here.
Our El Dorado Hills store doesn’t currently have a cafe, but we can highly recommend Relish Burger Bar or 36 Handles in the Montano de El Dorado shopping center for a great food and drinks.
Q. Can I sit on the patio furniture on the deck?
A. Please do! We encourage sitting, lounging and laying on all furniture, especially before making a purchase. If you see a fire pit you are interested in, ask one of our outside sales staff to light it for you. Even better, grab a glass of wine, beer or a coffee from our Rocklin Cafe and enjoy it under the shade of the giant oak.
Q. How can I get a custom floral arrangement made?
A. Great question! Start with a visit to the Floral Design Center in either of our stores. In Rocklin, the design center is in the back left corner of the store after you enter. In El Dorado Hills the design center is one the first floor, to the left as well. There you can meet with one of our talented floral designers and discuss your idea. You can either bring in your own container, or purchase one of ours to use. There is a $40.00 fee per design. Our designers can make anything from a small place setting to a massive urn arrangement. Q. What’s on sale? Can I get a discount?
A. Pottery World offers generous discounts through out the year on items across the store. Current sales information can be found here. Several months during the year we offer coupons by direct mail and in local publications and to members of our mailing list. Our mercado is full of items from previous seasons and scratch and dent items all at 50%-75% off. Landscapers and design professionals are encouraged to join our To the Trade program which offers discounts and special events. Any other pricing inquiries can be made to a member of our management staff.
Q. Who is that couple I see in your TV commercials?
A. Dan and Michelle are a local couple who also happen to be the married hosts of The Morning Show on Mix 96. They are huge fans of Pottery World and agreed to be our “spokescouple.” Dan and Michelle make appearances at both Pottery World locations at special events and other times throughout the year.
Q. What type of special events does Pottery World have?
Pottery World hosts several events including our Anniversary Party and Store Blessing every July, and our Holiday Open House every November. Dates vary by year. These are not-to-be-missed events and include great food, wine tasting, live music and exceptional savings.
